Hello everyone,

The LPPRD would like to inform you that the Dredge Bank buoys and the Slow No Wake buoys have been removed for the season. Please continue to respect all property owners along the river and maintain a slow, no-wake speed in the designated areas.

We would also like to thank Randy Schmidt, Larry Loeffler, Mark Hoffman, and John Harter for removing and power washing the buoys, as well as getting the boats ready for storage.

Another great season has come to an end for the district's tern raft program.

We would like to thank Daryl Christensen for his hard work and detailed reports. We had great weather and help yesterday as Mark Hoffman, Keith Leman, and I removed the tern rafts and put them away for the winter. Special thanks to Dawn at Johnson's Boats for her quick repair that got us back on the water.

Thank you to everyone who has helped with the rafts over the years. Please take a moment to review the 2026 Waterbird Survey Report on the LPPRD website.

Best regards,

John Harter
LPPRD Chairman

In my capacity as Chairman of the LPPRD, I would like to report favorable news shared by Daryl Christensen regarding the tern rafts set up this year, which have attracted Common Terns and Forster's Terns to nest on two rafts each, demonstrating the effectiveness of our collective efforts.
