Collaborate efforts in the City of Seaside were successful this morning. This is what over 300 lbs. of ILLEGAL fireworks looks like.

Please support your local Safe and Sane fireworks stands located throughout the county. 1.) They are safe and 2.) They are fundraisers for your local programs. Thank you for your enforcement efforts. Keep tipping that hotline.

We are delighted to announce that Deputy Probation Officer Bianca Castillo has been selected as Officer of the Year 2023. DPO Castillo has shown exceptional commitment and dedication to her duties, making her a deserving recipient of this prestigious award. Equally deserving of recognition is Management Analyst Leo Cortez-Heredia, who has been named Support Person of the Year 2023.

The Monterey County Peace Officer Association dinner was the perfect occasion to recognize their hard work and dedication. The event was attended by DPO Castillo and MA Cortez-Heredia’s loved ones and colleagues, who came together to celebrate and congratulate them on this incredible achievement. We couldn't be more proud of both DPO Castillo and Mr. Cortez-Heredia and we wish them continued success in their future endeavors. officer

We recently celebrated some of our dedicated staff members at a Service Pin presentation. There were 7 employees that received their 5 and 10 year pins, and a whopping 25 employees who received their 15 and 20 year pins! 😮

Lastly, we acknowledged 2 employees who have been with the Department for 25 years! Congratulations, everyone.

(We know, you’re probably thinking to yourself… this place must be a great place to work if they’ve stayed this long!)

On that note, we are also hiring! Link in Bio. Stay tuned for more employment opportunities.
