Today is the day!!! We are less than 20 minutes away from the Great Shake Out!!

Let's do a quick rundown of what that means for all you awesome Grays Harbor County residents and visitors:

1. At 10:15 AM TODAY, the Washington Great Shake Out drill begins! This is a great time to practice DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON!

2. The AHAB Tsunami Sirens will activate with the ACTUAL wailing sound! Those of us that live and work near the coast are used to hearing the Westminster Chimes but today is the actual wailing sound that we would hear in a tsunami warning.

3. Many schools in Grays Harbor are participating in the Great Shake Out. Those schools that are in the tsunami inundation zone, will be practicing their tsunami evacuation routes as well. So please drive safely and watch for extra pedestrians if you are out and about during the exercise.

4. Know your evacuation routes, have a plan and practice those today!
