🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week at Montevallo Elementary School! 🔥🚒

Yesterday, the members of Montevallo Fire and Rescue Service had a great time visiting with the students at Montevallo Elementary for Fire Prevention Week!

We talked about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and the importance of having a plan at home. The kids also got a chance to meet some of our firefighters and check out the fire truck! 👨‍🚒🚒

Thank you to the students and staff at Montevallo Elementary for having us! We always enjoy getting out in our community and teaching the next generation about fire safety.

🔥🔥 Exciting News for Montevallo Fire & Rescue Service! 🔥 🔥

We are incredibly excited and honored to announce that the Montevallo Fire & Rescue Service Explorer Cadet Program has been awarded $25,000 in funding through Senator April Weaver's Office!

This generous investment will help us grow and strengthen our Explorer Cadet Program by enhancing recruitment efforts, expanding educational and hands-on training opportunities, and purchasing critical safety training equipment. These resources will better prepare the next generation of firefighters while providing our cadets with valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and emergency services.

At Montevallo Fire & Rescue Service, we are committed to investing in our youth and developing tomorrow's fire service professionals. This funding is a tremendous step forward in ensuring our cadets have the tools and training they need to succeed.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Senator April Weaver for her continued support of public safety and youth development. Your investment will have a lasting impact on our program and the future of the fire service in our community.

Thank you for believing in our mission and in the next generation of first responders!

Yesterday, our department had the exceptional opportunity to connect with an inspiring group of students who are on the verge of beginning their sixth-grade journey at Montevallo Middle School during Montevallo's Camp Journey-2026.

Engaging directly with these students allowed us to answer their questions, share valuable career insights, and build positive relationships. This experience not only enriched the students but also deepened our commitment to community engagement, showing that investing in our youth today is crucial for cultivating a stronger and more vibrant community tomorrow.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Camp Journey for welcoming us into this impactful program. We wish all the future sixth graders immense success in the upcoming school year and are excited to see the incredible achievements that await them!
