Did you know that **October is National Pizza Month?** 🍕 And while we're celebrating everyone's favorite cheesy goodness, we're also continuing to stand up for something just as important — **the freedom to read!** 📖❤️

Just like pizza toppings, everyone has different tastes in books, and that's exactly how it should be! Whether you prefer something sweet, spicy, mysterious, or a little controversial, there's a book out there for YOU!

📚🚫 **BANNED BOOKS WEEK IS NEXT WEEK!** 🚫📚

Some books have been challenged because of their language. Others because of their characters, ideas, topics, or viewpoints.

At MAPL, we think you should have the freedom to read and decide for yourself. ❤️📖

So we're celebrating **Banned Books Week** with a **BANNED BOOK RAFFLE!** 🎟️

Beginning **Monday**, every time you check out a banned or challenged book from MAPL, you'll receive **ONE raffle ticket** for our Banned Book Raffle!

📅 **The raffle runs Monday through the end of October.**

Not sure what counts? We've got you covered! A list of banned and challenged books will be available at the **circulation desk**.

We've also attached a list of **100 frequently banned and challenged books** to this post.
