Ronald Adams. | Est. 2013 | Grades 9–12 | Rise Above, Lead Beyond. SOAR.🦅 Park Crossing High School will open in the fall of 2013 for the first time. The Park Crossing facility has 40+ classrooms, 4 biology labs, 4 chemistry labs, two modern visual art studios, two distance learning labs, a spacious band room and a modern choral room, and four career tech spaces that will develop according to specialized areas of study. At full capacity Park Crossing will house approximately 1000 in grades 9-12. The footrprint and drawings for a third pod, or wing, are in place that would allow for expansion as the communities around the school grow. The Park Crossing campus has a very collegiate feel. There is a spacious courtyard area that is enveloped on three sides by school buildings. A deck from the library overlooks the courtyard. Each teacher will have office space away from the classroom for planning and collaborating. There are several large collaborative spaces built into each wing to allow for groups of students to engage in various, diversified learning activities. Park Crossing is slated to be open for occupancy sometime in early July. Construction is currently on schedule.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Today, students will receive their report cards for the first nine weeks of the school year. We encourage you to take time to review your child’s grades and have a meaningful conversation about their academic progress, accomplishments, and areas that may need improvement.

If your child is currently failing one or more classes, please be on the lookout for information about grade-recovery opportunities. We also encourage you to reach out directly to your child’s teachers to discuss their progress, identify areas of concern, and develop a plan for improvement.

Additionally, parents and guardians may contact the Guidance Department at 334-851-4901 to schedule a parent-teacher conference to discuss their child’s academic performance and explore available support and resources.

At Park Crossing High School, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success. Your involvement, encouragement, and communication make a difference!

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help every Thunderbird SOAR!

Sincerely,
Park Crossing High School Administration

🗳️ YOUR VOICE. YOUR VOTE. YOUR FUTURE!💙❤️

Today, our Park Crossing High School seniors took an important step toward civic engagement by getting registered to vote! 🇺🇸

28 seniors registered to vote today. As our seniors prepare to transition into adulthood, we are proud to help them understand the importance of being informed, engaged, and involved in their communities. Today’s experience is a reminder that their voices matter and that civic participation begins with knowing their rights and responsibilities.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS AT PARK CROSSING HIGH SCHOOL!
Every Day Counts! Every Minute Matters!

Thunderbird Families, as we reflect on our attendance data from the 1st Nine Weeks, we want to emphasize the importance of students being present, punctual, and prepared to learn EVERY DAY!

SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO OUR 9TH GRADERS!

Congratulations to the Class of 2030 for leading the way! 67% of our 9th graders have NO attendance issues, the highest percentage among all grade levels! Keep up the great work!

DID YOU KNOW?

Missing school means missing valuable instructional time!

Missing 1 day = approximately 0.6% of annual instruction lost.
Missing 5 days = approximately 2.8% of annual instruction lost.
Missing 10 days = approximately 5.6% of annual instruction lost.
Missing just 2 days per month can add up to 18 days, or 10% of the school year, which is considered chronic absenteeism!
PARENTS, LET'S TALK ABOUT TARDIES!

Being on time is just as important as being present!

Student Arrival Time: 7:00 AM – 7:39 AM
Student drivers must enter the gate by 7:30 and enter the school by 7:35
Beginning at 7:40 AM, students are considered TARDY!

Any student arriving at 7:40 AM or later MUST have a parent/guardian sign them in to school.

3 UNEXCUSED TARDIES = 1 UNEXCUSED ABSENCE

Tardies add up! Even when students attend school, arriving late means missing important classroom instruction, announcements, and opportunities to start the day successfully.

HOW CAN FAMILIES HELP?

Establish a consistent morning routine.
Plan for traffic and unexpected delays.
Monitor your student's attendance and tardies regularly.
Schedule appointments outside school hours when possible.
Communicate with the school when attendance concerns arise.
Our Goal: Every Thunderbird. Every Classroom. Every Day.

Regular attendance builds strong academic habits, improves student achievement, and prepares students for success beyond high school.

We need our families as partners in making attendance a priority!

LET'S SOAR TO SUCCESS, THUNDERBIRDS!
