On Saturday, the White County Sheriff’s Office had the privilege of working side by side with other first responder agencies at the Luke Bryan concert to provide security and assistance. Events of this nature require months of preparation and cooperation between agencies. As we all learned, Mother Nature will always have the final say! The deputies, paramedics, and other first responders worked diligently through the conditions to respond to incidents and calls for service. The White County Sheriff’s Office worked closely with Luke Bryan event organizers and were proud to be able to provide our command trailer to establish a central location for the agencies and event staff to work together and communicate. This event gave us the opportunity to utilize several pieces of our emergency response equipment during a large incident. We quickly realized that the office’s off road vehicles and drone operations were life savers! Sheriff Bill Brooks would like to thank all of the agencies for standing together in the muddy conditions to provide a safe environment for the concert guests and staff. Sheriff Brooks would also like to extend a special thank you to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with traffic control throughout the event and the Indiana State Police.
The White County Sheriff’s Office thanks: Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire Department, Mels Wrecker Service, Farney’s Wrecker Service, White County Emergency Management, White County Communications and 911, Benton County Emergency Management, Brookston Prairie Township Fire Department, Carroll County EMS, Logansport Fire Department, Monon Fire Department, Newton County EMS, Royal Center Fire Department, Tippecanoe Ambulance service, and the White County Highway Department.
