🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY 🚨

Montpelier Police and Fire Departments responded to a two-vehicle crash on River Street (Route 2) near the Route 302 rotary.

The roadway was briefly closed while emergency crews worked at the scene but has since reopened and is clear of hazards.

Please use caution when traveling through the area.

💊 NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2026

The Montpelier Police Department encourages residents to safely dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired prescription medications in recognition of National Drug Take Back Day, Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Proper disposal helps prevent accidental poisonings, prescription drug misuse, and environmental contamination.

Can't make it to a take-back event? MPD offers a secure prescription medication drop box at 1 Pitkin Court, available 24/7 throughout the year.

Help keep medications out of the wrong hands and our community safe!

🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – BERLIN 🚨

Montpelier Police are assisting the Berlin Police Department and Berlin Fire Department with a rollover motor vehicle crash on Crosstown Road near the intersection of Rowell Hill Road.

Motorists should use caution in the area, expect delays, and give emergency personnel room to work safely.

Please consider an alternate route while crews work to clear the scene.
