Princesses, wizards, superheroes and monsters, this one's for you: Downtown Fairhope Trick-or-Treat is tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, and it's free. 🎃 Stroll downtown in costume and collect treats from participating merchants (look for the orange pumpkins in shop windows), then stop by the Welcome Center for a special Halloween photo spot.

Who's trick-or-treating downtown with you?

Picture it: your kid opens a gift they don't love, and instead of making a face, they say thank you and give Grandma a hug. Practice can make that happen.

Role-play the tricky moments at home, agree on a secret signal you can use at the table, and let kids signal you if they need rescuing from a long conversation.

Read all eight tips and share them with whoever's hosting your family this year. Find it here: https://easternshoreparents.com/2026/10/the-gift-of-good-manners-preparing-your-child-for-holiday-gatherings-and-beyond/

Be Honest, Parents
On a lazy Eastern Shore weekend, what do you let the kids do that you'd NEVER admit to Grandma?

Couch-cushion trampoline? Pancakes for dinner? Pajamas all day long? We won't tell. 🤫

Need a fall outing that doesn't need a ticket? 🎃 Pumpkins on Parade is up in Downtown OWA in Foley every day through Oct. 31: local businesses carved displays along the streets, and families scan a QR code to vote for the first-ever champion. Downtown OWA also has a children's costume ball on Oct. 30 and a Candy Crawl on Halloween afternoon.

Which one gets your family's vote? Tell us after your stroll
