Please join us and learn about our amazing Tri-boro operation and volunteers.

Come one, come all! Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps annual open house is Sunday November 8, 2026 from noon until 4 p.m. at our building located at 10 Mill Road in Park Ridge. While we are primarily looking for members from Park Ridge, Montvale and Woodcliff Lake, if you work in our communities and are available to ride during the day, we will consider you as well.

Do you have any interest in becoming an EMT? Are you a high school student considering a career in the field of medicine? There is no better way to learn basic life support while gaining much needed patient care hours to help you refine your future goals.

Are you a former NJ EMT whose license has expired? You don't need to retake a the initial class, you can just get up to date on CPR, take an refresher course (can be done in one weekend) and take and pass the NREMT exam, and you are good to go!

Are you a New Jersey licensed physician, physician assistant, registered nurse or advanced practice nurse? Same for you, no need to take the EMT class, just take the refresher course and NREMT exam!

Are you a stay at home parent with kids in school from 9-3 looking for a way to pass the time while learning valuable life skills and helping your community? A retiree who is ready for the encore portion of their lives? A community member who works from home and can sneak out for a quick call to help a neighbor?

We will take all of you! Please come to our informational session, check out our website https://www.tbvacnj.org/ or reach out to me directly at [email protected].

Help us continue to help you!

Montvale Residents:

As you may have read, a Park Ridge resident, Howard Fredrics, has filed a lawsuit against me regarding my decision to block his access to and comments on my personal page.

I initially blocked Mr. Fredrics because he was using my personal page to harass and insult Montvale residents in response to posts I made for informational and social purposes.

My personal page is not an official Borough communication channel; it is my personal page created from my own personal profile, where I share information important to me and interact with members of the community.

However, it does not appear to me that Mr. Fredrics’ lawsuit is really about exercising his First Amendment rights. I have offered to restore Mr. Fredrics’ access and ability to comment to my personal page, but he has declined the offer and has instead indicated that it will additionally take a substantial amount of money for him to accept resolution of his action.

Nevertheless, I have decided to restore his access to my personal page anyway, in the spirit of good faith and openness.

I believe this is the appropriate step to take at this time. It is in no way an admission that Mr. Fredrics was in the right in bringing his suit, nor that his suit has merit.

I would rather focus my time and energy on serving the residents of Montvale, attracting businesses, creating jobs, supporting our first responders, improving our infrastructure, and finding ways to bring our community together, rather than engaging in a dispute over access to my personal social media account.

Last night, we had the pleasure of welcoming our 2026 Mayor for a Day, Honorary Mayor Sal Poliandro from Fieldstone Middle School!

Sal enjoyed a tour of our Police Department and had the opportunity to conduct a mock Mayor and Council meeting, where he asked some very thoughtful, insightful, and important questions.

Teaching our young people about civic responsibility, local government, and how decisions are made in their community is incredibly important. There is no better way to learn than through firsthand experience!

We look forward to welcoming more of our students to Borough Hall and continuing these meaningful opportunities to inspire the next generation of civic leaders. 🇺🇸
