The Moore Fire Department is preparing for the upcoming rain and the potential for severe flooding. Our crews are monitoring conditions and preparing to respond as necessary.

We encourage residents to use caution and avoid flooded areas. Never attempt to drive through water covering a roadway, regardless of how deep it may appear. Water can be deeper and moving faster than it appears and can quickly create a dangerous situation.

Please stay informed, avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather and remember Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

Twenty-five years ago today, the world witnessed unimaginable tragedy. Yet, in the midst of that devastation, the fire service carried out one of the greatest rescue operations in its history.

As the towers burned and thousands were in danger, firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel and countless others ran toward the chaos. Working under unimaginable conditions, they helped evacuate and rescue more than 15,000 civilians from the World Trade Center complex.

Today, the Moore Fire Department pauses to honor the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with the thousands of others who lost their lives and the families whose lives were forever changed.

Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire generations of firefighters. Their legacy reminds us of the responsibility we share: to run toward danger when others are running away, and to serve others no matter the risk.

We remember their sacrifice.
We honor their legacy.
We will never forget.

Four new members are joining the Moore Fire Department, please join us in welcoming Recruit Class 26-1!
They have officially begun their academy and will spend the coming weeks developing the knowledge, skills and experience needed to serve the citizens of Moore. We look forward to supporting them throughout their training and watching them grow into the next generation of Moore firefighters.

Dedication, perseverance and a commitment to excellence have earned two of our members the opportunity to take on new responsibilities within the Moore Fire Department.

Promotions are never handed out, they're earned through countless hours of training, studying and proving the knowledge required to serve in these roles. As they continue their careers, they will help guide and mentor the next generation of firefighters while serving our community with professionalism and pride.
