The Moorestown Township Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male pictured.
On October 4, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the male entered Brain Freeze Ice Cream Parlor, located at 99 W. Main St., Suite 100, Moorestown, NJ. The male approached an employee, claimed that he had a gun in his pocket and demanded that the cash register be opened.
The male was inside the business for just over one minute and stole approximately $300 from the cash register. He then fled on foot toward the Municipal Lot, where he entered what appeared to be a gray SUV, possibly a Nissan Rogue.

At the time of the incident, the male was wearing:
•Dark-colored pants
•A gray sweater that appeared to have no pockets
•A blue Nike baseball hat
•Gray shoes with white soles

The male is described as tall and having no discernible accent.
Anyone who recognizes this individual or has information regarding this incident is asked to contact Moorestown Township Police Department Detective Ryan Carr at [email protected].

The week of Aug. 31 will see a major traffic pattern change along Main Street from Chester to Church. Only the westbound lane of traffic will be open with all eastbound travel diverted. Eastbound through traffic should make a right at Church Street and head down to Route 38 before rejoining Main Street at Mount Laurel Road. Pedestrian access along Main Street remains available.

This marks a change from all prior traffic patterns which always had the eastbound lane of traffic open. Learn more via our newsletter ➡ https://conta.cc/4gA00D9

Last Thursday, members of the Moorestown Police Department traveled to the Farmington Polo Club in Farmington, Connecticut, to particiapte in the Hometown Foundation - 2026 Dream Ride Experience and Police K-9 Expo and Challenge.

The Dream Ride Experience is a truly special event that celebrates the accomplishments of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, known as Dream Riders, while promoting inclusion, acceptance, and community.

Lt. Weist and Lt. Rulli had the privilege of participating in the Dream Cruise, where they were paired with Evan and his mother from Connecticut. Together, they enjoyed an approximately 18-mile cruise through the Farmington Valley in a Moorestown Police vehicle. It was an incredible opportunity to share some time with Evan and his family while being part of such a meaningful event.

Meanwhile, Cpl. Sloan and K-9 Saltz, along with Ptl. Toscani and K-9 Cyrus, represented Moorestown in the Hometown Foundation Police K-9 Expo and Challenge. The Challenge brings together K-9 teams from across the country and gives handlers and their partners an opportunity to showcase the extensive training and skills required of working police K-9s.

Of course, no trip to the Farmington Polo Club would be complete without taking some time to enjoy a polo match! 🐎

We are especially grateful to the Hometown Foundation for its continued support of the Moorestown Police Department and our K-9 Unit. The Hometown Foundation has generously donated both of our department’s K-9s, providing not only the dogs themselves, but also critical support for training and equipment. Their Police K-9 Program works with law enforcement agencies to provide K-9s, training, and equipment to help departments maintain strong and effective K-9 programs.

Thank you to the Hometown Foundation, all of the volunteers, organizers, Dream Riders, families, and fellow law enforcement agencies who made this weekend so memorable.

We are proud to be part of the movement and look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
