🎅🏻🎄 THE 2026 SANTA PATROL IS COMING! 🎄🎅🏻
✍🏻 Mark your calendars… 🗓️
The Moosic Borough Police Department, along with 🎅🏻 Santa, 🧑🏻🎄 Mrs. Claus and all of their helpers ⛄️🦌, are already preparing for our annual Christmas tradition!
On Friday, December 18th and Saturday, December 19th, 2026, we will once again help Santa make his way through the streets of Moosic, visiting children and families throughout the borough.
Every year, this tradition seems to become a little more special. We see more families gathered at the ends of their driveways, more neighbors meeting on street corners and more children bundled up together, watching and listening for Santa to make his way down their street. Seeing those crowds grow year after year reminds us just how much this tradition has come to mean to our community.
Over the course of those two nights, Santa and his helpers will travel approximately 44 miles of roadways over the course of 12 hours, spreading Christmas cheer throughout the borough. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and supporters, we plan to once again hand out over 1,500 candy filled stockings along with thousands of stuffed animals and treats . Santa will even have treats for our furry friends.
And the Santa Patrol isn’t the only thing we have planned for this Christmas season!
🐾🎅🏻 We’re excited to introduce Paws with Claus on Saturday, December 5th from 4:00–6:00 PM, giving families and their four-legged family members a chance to visit and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus while helping support K-9 Star.
🎟️ Back by popular demand and with much anticipation, the 12 Days of Christmas Raffle returns! The first day will kick off on Sunday, December 6th, beginning 12 days of prizes and holiday fun, with proceeds helping support the Santa Patrol.
More information on both events will be coming soon!
⭐️ A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU ⭐️
None of this would be possible without the people behind it.
To our volunteers who give their time and brave the cold, snow, rain and whatever else December brings — thank you. Year after year, you show up and help us make these two nights something special for our community.
And to the local businesses, families and organizations who sponsor and support the Santa Patrol — thank you. Your generosity fills the stockings, puts stuffed animals into the arms of children and provides the countless little things that make this tradition possible. ❤️
As Christmas gets closer, we’ll announce start times, routes and additional information, so keep following our page for updates.
But when you take away the lights, music, stockings and gifts, the Santa Patrol has always been about something much simpler — family, community and tradition.
There’s something about Christmas that brings us back to a simpler time. For a few hours, we can forget about work, bills, schedules and everything else life throws our way. We can bundle up, stand outside with our families, hear the Christmas music getting closer and watch the excitement on our children’s faces as the lights finally come down their street.
And somewhere in those moments, we get to be kids again too.
Life moves fast. Our children grow up even faster. Someday, the little ones standing along the route waiting for Santa may be standing there with children of their own, continuing the same tradition and creating the same memories.
Maybe that’s what makes these two nights so special.
For a little while, Christmas feels the way we remember it.
So this December, bundle up, bring the family outside and make another Christmas memory with us.
Because sometimes, no matter how old we get, we just need to remember that…..
