Are you passionate about helping individuals and families overcome barriers and build a brighter future?

Lakes and Pines Community Action Council is looking for a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team as a Youth and Street Outreach Advocate in Mora, MN!

This position plays an important role in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, with a special focus on helping youth ages 16–24 achieve housing stability and independence.

📍 Location: Mora, MN
🕗 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
💰 Pay: $22.57–$30.10 per hour (starting pay based on qualifications)
💼 Position: Full-Time

✨ What You'll Do:

Connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness with essential resources and supportive services.

Assist youth ages 16–24 with housing stability, goal setting, and life skills.

Provide street outreach, advocacy, and assistance accessing basic needs.

Help individuals navigate housing resources and community support programs.

Build meaningful relationships and strengthen community partnerships.

📋 Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (may be waived with significant related experience) and more than one year of experience.

Lakes and Pines Community Action Council is excited to partner with Family Pathways to host a FREE Pop-Up Food Distribution event in Mora!

We are proud to support this opportunity to help individuals and families in our community access essential food and household items.

Lakes and Pines Community Action Council is looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our Community Services Department as a Program Secretary at our Mora office!

If you're detail-oriented, enjoy working in a team environment, and want to make a difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you!

📍 Location: Mora, MN
🕘 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
💰 Pay: $21.25–$27.09 per hour (starting pay based on qualifications)

Did you know the Pine County Courthouse is a Naloxone Access Point?
A free naloxone kit is available in the jail lobby.

Naloxone access points are vital because they make a life-saving medication readily available to reverse opioid overdoses. Quick access allows bystanders to act immediately in an emergency, helping prevent overdose deaths. These access points also raise community awareness and can serve as a connection to support and treatment resources for substance use disorders.

SCAM ALERT: Fraudsters Are Using Commerce’s Name and Logo
Commerce is warning consumers about scammers impersonating the Department to demand money under false pretenses.

In a recent case, a consumer received a fraudulent letter using Commerce’s name, address, and logo. The letter demanded a fee to release a supposed bank payment.

This is a scam. The Department of Commerce does not charge consumers fees and will never solicit money from individuals. Scammers may also impersonate the FBI, fraud hotlines, and other government agencies, targeting people who have already lost money. They may demand payment to investigate a case, prioritize a report or recover lost funds. Fraudulent websites may also imitate official reporting services and steal personal or financial information.

Protect yourself:
• Never pay an upfront fee to receive promised funds or recover lost money.
• Verify requests using contact information from an agency’s official website.
• Never provide personal or financial information through unverified websites or unsolicited messages.

If you’ve been targeted: Report fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or report online scams through the FBI’s official website at IC3.gov. Type these addresses directly into your browser rather than following unsolicited links. Learn more on our website.

Remember: Scammers can make letters, websites and calls look official. Always verify before you send money or share information.
