Every year, we join the Association of Defense Communities in Washington DC to reconnect with friends, colleagues and federal leaders who are deeply committed to protecting and strengthening military missions through community partnerships.

This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated 50 years of ADC at their annual conference — 50 years of partnership, collaboration, and unwavering support for the men and women who serve in uniform. We’re honored to be part of this incredible mission and community. Association of Defense Communities - ADC🇺🇸

2026 Steps for Vets: US Vets Run, Walk & Roll 🇺🇸

We are proud to support our March veterans and nonprofit partner, the US Vets Initiative. Through a commitment to serving those who served us, March JPA donated 8 acres and $10 million to help establish the March Veterans Village in 2010.

Since then, more than 200 veteran lives have been transformed through housing, support, and community. This year, more than 600 participants came together to run, walk, roll, and raise funds for this incredible mission supporting our veterans.

Thank you U.S.VETS for making a difference for those who have sacrificed so much for our country. 🇺🇸

One of the key focuses of the JPA/MIPAA trip to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC this year was promoting a more sustainable joint use airport through energy resiliency. This year MIPAA received a federal grant to conduct an energy tabletop exercise in coordination with our military base and first responders. The exercise will strengthen coordination, enhance emergency preparedness and ensure continuity of operations during potential energy disruptions. These efforts would not be possible without the support of our federal leaders. Guided by a shared commitment to reliable, resilient and secure energy future for our military communities.

The FAA continues to be a critical partner in sustaining aviation activities in Riverside County. Last year MIPAA was awarded over $6 million in FAA funding to support critical apron reconstruction work. This refurbishment project will ensure that we can continue to accommodate logistical refueling operators, air cargo and defense contractors that serve the military as well as businesses throughout the US. We’re a proud National Reliever Airport that is investing in infrastructure that strengthens regional economic growth while supporting vital national defense and logistics operations. A big thanks to the FAA Leadership for their commitment to excellence and the success of their network of airports. Aviation Administration

Commission Chair Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Vice Chair Chuck Conder, Commissioner Edward Delgado, and CEO Dr. Grace Martin met with federal leaders to share the continued growth and success at March. Major highlights included federal support for energy resiliency initiatives at our joint-use military airport, and ongoing backing for the upcoming KC-46 mission at March Air Reserve Base.
