Tonight we celebrate our phenomenal, bilingual 5th grade students that are in our DLI program.

Congratulations for achieving this great milestone and making us proud in two languages!

Sunnymead Elementary School is proud to offer this amazing program and we look forward to continuing it's excellence!

Today we had our volunteer recognition celebration and treated our volunteers to a lunch, recognition gifts and certificates. We would not be a successful school without their support and we cherish them for all they do. Pictured are the volunteers who were able to attend the event, but please keep in mind that there are many more volunteers that we would like to thank and extend our gratitude to.

Our very own, Cecilia Quesada was recognized at our district Shine event for her contributions at Sunnymead Elementary school. Thank you for all you do to help our school be a better place! We appreciate you leading the parent book club, helping plan events, volunteering in classrooms, and for volunteering to decorate. Thank you for helping create a warm and welcoming environment. As we begin CAASPP testing, we invited all staff and students to join us on April 27th in a fun Spirit Day to support our 3rd–5th grade students!

Staff and students showed their spirit by wearing Mario Kart costumes/gear or bright, rainbow colors to cheer on our students.

Today was our “On the Rainbow Road to Success!” 🌈🏁 CAASPP assembly. It was so fun to see staff support and to see students feel supported!

Congratulations to our students who reclassified from English Learners (EL) to Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP). They were celebrated at our district’s Reclassification Ceremony!

We reclassified 35 students and we could not be more proud of them!

Additionally, our school was recognized for having the highest reclassification rate out of all the elementary schools in the district.

Amazing job Sunnymead Elementary students, staff, and families! So proud of our shining stars!
