A frayed cord or questionable replacement charger isn’t worth the risk. Inspect charging cables for damage and use the charger that came with your device or one approved by its manufacturer. 🔌

Does your device feel unusually hot or look swollen? Stop using and charging it. ⚠️

Heat and swelling can signal a battery problem. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for handling the device safely.

Power tools, e-bikes and e-scooters need a safe place to charge. Charge larger devices outside, away from doors and other exits, using a charger approved by the manufacturer. 🚲🔋

Phone at 100%? Unplug it. 📱🔌

Make it a habit to disconnect devices when they’re fully charged, and follow the manufacturer’s charging instructions.

Charging your phone or game controller on a bed or couch? Move it to a hard, flat surface where heat can escape. Small action. Big impact. 🔋

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention Month.

Healthy, respectful relationships strengthen readiness, resilience and the well-being of our Airmen, Guardians and families. Prevention starts with everyday actions: modeling respect, checking in, speaking up when something feels wrong and encouraging early help-seeking without judgment.

Respect matters in the workplace, too. Bullying—including verbal aggression, humiliation, exclusion and cyberbullying—harms trust, morale and mission readiness. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels safe and supported, on duty and at home.

📅 Show your support:
💜 Oct. 15: Wear purple to stand against domestic violence.
🧡 Oct. 21: Wear orange to stand against bullying.

Help is available:
• Military OneSource domestic abuse support
• Find a domestic abuse victim advocate
• National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233 or thehotline.org

Prevention is something we do together. Your voice and actions make a difference.
