Morgan's Point Resort Fire - Rescue proudly welcomed Brush 63 to the family today during a push-in and wet down ceremony held at the Morgan's Point Resort Public Safety Center. Affectionately known as Fiona, Brush 63 joins Brush 61 (Donkey) and Brush 62 (Shrek) as part of the MPRFR wildfire fleet.
Brush 63 is a type 3 wildland fire engine with a 750 gallon water tank and fully outfitted to serve our fire fighting partners locally and nationwide as part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) program. MPRFR would like to thank the Texas Forestry Service, the Morgan's Point Resort Ladies Auxiliary, the Morgan's Point Resort Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Morgan's Point Resort City Council for making Brush 63 a reality. While we hope to use her as little as possible, we are thankful to add her to our available apparatus for years to come.
MPRFR would like to thank all those that were able to attend the ceremony with us today and extend a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Jeremy Franks of Fellowship Baptist Church for providing the blessing over Brush 63, as she enters service.
