Performed by retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Scott Mann, this moving production brings to life the experiences of veterans, Afghan allies, and families who faced unimaginable challenges.

More than a story of war, 11 Days sheds light on the lasting emotional impact of military service, the importance of veterans' mental health, and the power of storytelling in the healing process.

Morganton Public Safety is handling an active scene involving the derailment of multiple train cars in Morganton.

One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

A total of five rail cars overturned near the intersection of HWY 70 and East Fleming Drive. There was no hazardous material spilled from this incident.

Traffic is being diverted at the intersection of HWY 70 and East Fleming Drive.

Please avoid this area as this will be shut down for an extended amount of time.

We will release more information as it becomes available.

Norfolk Southern is on scene as well.

It is also an opportunity to learn about Indigenous communities, recognize their lasting impact, and celebrate the diverse experiences and perspectives that continue to shape our communities today.
