Yesterday evening, the 249th Army Band celebrated the United States' Semiquincentennial (250th) with a live performance in Marlinton, WV! Even with the warm weather, it was a beautiful night of community, music, celebration, and incredible hospitality.

An extra special shoutout to Marlinton, the hometown of one of our Soldiers, who performed in both the concert band and our B-Line Brass performance team!

Thank you for having us!

The 249th Army Band was honored to perform in today’s Memorial Day Parade in Grafton, West Virginia. Amongst us and the other parade participants were Governor Patrick Morrisey and the Adjutant General, Maj. General Jim Seward.

As one of the nation’s longest continuously running Memorial Day traditions—dating back to 1867 and recognized as West Virginia’s Official Memorial Day Parade—it was a privilege to help honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
