π¨π₯ Tiller Runs 4th Alarm Fire on Arrival into Cheesequake Section of Old Bridge π₯π¨
On October 9th, 2026, at 1706 hrs, your Morganville Volunteers were staffing the Station when they were made aware of a 4th Alarm Fire on arrival in the Cheesequake section of Old Bridge. Due to being on the initial alarm for any Structure Fires in Cheesequake, our Tiller 28-3-89 went in service with a crew of 6 immediately. Upon calling in service with Monmouth County, the radio room was already aware of the fire but had yet to get a confirmed address from Old Bridge. The address was given over the air to the dispatcher, and the Tiller arrived as the 3rd Due Ladder.
Our crew and tiller were then told by command to reposition on side Charlie, set up our ladder, and go to the roof to perform a trench cut to prevent the fire from spreading any further. Our tiller then repositioned on side Charlie by beaching it on the grass in order to better access the roof with our stick. Members then ascended our ladder and performed the task as requested, preventing the spread of fire to any additional apartments.
Our Tiller operated for 2 hours before being released by Command.
This fire makes it the 1st Fire the Tiller has run, and the 37th Fire our Department has gone to this year.
