Stevens County’s Planning and Zoning Department has received reports of individuals attempting to impersonate County employees. Applicants and residents are encouraged to carefully review all electronic communications, especially messages requesting payment or personal information.
Scammers may use official-looking language, public information, and familiar names to appear legitimate. They may also request money, personal information, or immediate action.
Planning and Zoning may email applicants a link to pay an applicable fee online. Applicants should expect these emails only after initiating a request with the department.
Before clicking a link or submitting payment, verify that the communication is connected to a request you made with Planning and Zoning. If you are unsure whether an email or message is legitimate, do not respond, click links, or provide personal information.
Contact the Stevens County Planning and Zoning Department at 320.208.6558 to verify a communication. When in doubt, delete the message after reporting it.

On Friday, July 17, Stevens County got the opportunity to honor Peg Kruize with a retirement celebration- if you missed it you have until Thursday to stop by and wish her well!

Peg has served Stevens County faithfully for 39 years. Few staff in county government reach this milestone. She is leaving big shoes to fill, but we are so excited for her to start all her new retirement adventures!
