It’s time to vote for the best Jack-o’-Lantern, Senators!

We had 29 pumpkin artists participate! The Library staff have picked their top 5 Jack-o’-Lanterns. Get a peek at them here, then stop by the Library sometime between Wednesday and next Monday to vote for your favorite pumpkin!

We’ll announce the winner on Tuesday. The artist who drew the winning Jack-o’-Lantern can stop by to get a boo bag full of WS Library swag!

Need a spine-tingling read for spooky season? Go on a Blind Date with a Booook!

We’re gift wrapping our favorite spooky books and putting them on display in the Library lobby from October 14 through October 30th. You can choose your next read based on your tolerance for terror! Our choices range from “just give me all the fall vibes” to “I may never sleep again.”

Faculty and staff, watch for a survey in your email inbox soon. We’ll pick for you based on your survey responses and send a creepy read through campus mail!

*Note: This is for spooky books ONLY. We’ll still be doing our traditional, all-genre Blind Date with a Book event in February, so if your tolerance for terror is a ZERO on the zombie scale, we’ll see you in the spring!

Do you want to make a Jack-o’-Lantern?

Since we’re not sure carving up pumpkins in the Library lobby is a great idea, we’re doing a Jack-O-Lantern drawing contest! Come grab a blank pumpkin and draw us your best, scariest, spookiest, silliest, funniest, happiest, creepiest, or whatever-est pumpkin face!
And make sure to write your name and WS username on the back!

Add your Jack-o’-Lantern to the competition board any time before the end of the day on October 9th. The library staff will pick 5 favorites next week,and then the campus community will vote for the best Jack-O-Lantern. The winner will get a boo bag full of WS Library swag!
