Birds of a Feather gave Cruisin’ the Coast a bird-friendly stop in Moss Point! 🚗🦅 PRAC welcomed bird-named cars to Audubon Way and presented three awards: Early Bird to a 1964 Thunderbird, Best Plumage to a 1967 Firebird, and Best of Flock to a 1956 Thunderbird. The day ended with a raptor show from
Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center
on the PRAC grounds. Thanks to the City of Moss Point for your collaboration and the
Rotary Club of Moss Point, and the Pascagoula-Gautier School District Key Club volunteers who helped keep the event running smoothly!

Don’t toss that glass, crush it! ♻️ Check out this fun and educational community event tomorrow!

♻️Let’s Crush It!

Do you know that the bottles, jars and other glass we discard can be crushed and used in several helpful ways around a home or business? Crushing glass and using it reduces the stress on landfills because glass never deteriorates. Save the glass you usually toss and watch it be ground up and take it home in your container you to use. Shawn Harris will bring his glass crusher and lead the conversation at 6:30.

📅Thursday, October 8, 2026
📍Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Arts Center.
4:00 PM for crushing, 6:00 for w**e and cheese and 6:30 for a talk on the many benefits of glass recycling and the many uses of crushed glass.

The Ocean Springs Environmental Alliance is excited to sponsor this event and hope that many families and businesses will bring glass, learn more and enjoy the event. For more information, call 228-327-0183.
