This position oversees the seasonal operation of the Lawrence County Farmers Market. This position serves as the primary contact for vendors and visitors, coordinates market activities, and helps maintain a welcoming, organized, and safe place for local producers to sell their products.

Position Details:

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has basic computer skills, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Previous library experience is not required.

Today marked the final Commission meeting for three Lawrence County Commissioners:
• Norman Pool — District 2
• Dana Charles — District 3
• Bobby Burch — District 4

With a combined 29 years and 7 months of service, these commissioners have dedicated many years to serving the people of Lawrence County. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to our community and county will be missed.

Also pictured is Commissioner Amard Martin — District 1, who will be on the ballot in the November 3rd General Election, and returning Commissioner Nathan Kitchens — District 5, who was unopposed in the Primary & General Elections.

The Lawrence County Commission is accepting applications for the District 5 seat on the Lawrence County Hospital Authority Board. Applicants must be a resident of District 5 to be considered.

Applicants for the At-Large seat must be residents of Lawrence County.

Today marked the last day at the Lawrence County Farmers Market for Mr. Duel Borden and his wife, Mary, as they both begin their well-deserved retirement.

The Lawrence County Commissioners extend a heartfelt thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Borden for their many years of hard work and dedication to making our Farmers Market such a huge success. Their commitment has made a lasting difference to our market and the community it serves.

They will be greatly missed, but their contributions will be remembered with gratitude. Please join us in thanking them and wishing them a much deserved happy retirement!
