Although many today that serve in emergency response roles were not alive or very young when 9/11 occurred, it will always be etched in our minds. 911 Dispatchers are one of the first lines of emergency response. They receive and relay critical information to our First Responders as they often enter into harms way. We appreciate the thought and sentiment expressed by Cash Express of Moulton, today!

Today, we'd like to recognize 911 Dispatcher Kayla Terry for going Above and Beyond.
Kayla remained calm, confident, and compassionate while assisting one of our own public servants through a potential medical emergency. Her professionalism and reassuring presence made a difference during a stressful situation and exemplified the dedication our dispatchers bring to every call.
We are grateful for Kayla's outstanding service and extend our appreciation to all of our dispatchers for the incredible work they do each and every day. Thank you for your commitment to serving our citizens!

I’m excited to announce that after much time, planning, and effort, today we received delivery of new radio communication and dispatch center equipment at Lawrence County 911. Over the next few weeks, equipment will be installed, tested, and in-services conducted. This new equipment will also allow for existing technology to be linked with the new radio system, enhancing coverage and capabilities. We are thankful for all that have helped make these improvements possible and look forward to enhancing public safety communication for the citizens and agencies we serve! Jason Jones, MPA/ BS-Director

In observance of National Telecommunicators Week, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the outstanding men and women of Lawrence County 911. Our dispatchers have had to navigate a trying few months, replete with tragic events, and are often underappreciated for their vital role as first responders. The public may not be fully aware of the complexities and challenges inherent in this position, which requires long, grueling hours and days that do not always have a positive outcome. Despite these difficulties, they continue to show up, shift after shift, ensuring that someone is always available to respond to calls for service and provide support to our responders in the field. Lawrence County is fortunate to have some of the most tenacious and dedicated professionals in this field. We invite you to join us in expressing our heartfelt appreciation to these individuals who make a profound impact on our community.
