πŸͺπŸ‘©β€πŸ³ A Sweet Learning Experience in Pre-K! πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸͺ

Our Pre-K students had a special guest baker last week, Mrs. Megan Southwell! πŸ§πŸ’›

Mrs. Megan spent time reading to our little learners and walking them through the fun process of baking cookies. After learning the steps involved in baking, the students got to enjoy the sweetest part of allβ€”tasting Mrs. Megan’s delicious homemade cookies! πŸͺπŸ˜‹

We are so thankful to Mrs. Megan for visiting our Pre-K students, sharing her love of baking, and making learning both fun and delicious! ❀️

At Stringfellow Elementary, we love creating hands-on learning experiences that make lasting memories!

🎨🐝 Learning in the Hive is FUN! 🐝🎨

Students in Mrs. Tara’s classroom brought the story Jimmy’s Painting to life through a fun, hands-on painting activity! πŸ“šπŸ–ŒοΈ

During the read-aloud, students practiced listening comprehension, identified key details, and answered questions about the story. Then, they followed directions to create their own colorful masterpieces while exploring how mixing colors creates something new! 🌈

From building reading skills to sparking creativity, our students showed that learning is even sweeter when we combine books, art, and hands-on fun!

πŸ“šπŸ READ LIKE A PACKER! πŸπŸ“š
Congratulations to our Kindergarten Read Like a Packer students, Judy Brown and Alani Lewis! We are so proud of these Stinger Bees for their commitment to reading and learning.
Every book opened is another opportunity to grow, discover something new, and become a stronger learner. Reading today builds the knowledge, confidence, and skills our students will carry with them tomorrow.
At Stringfellow, our mission is to ensure all students learn and excel at grade level or higher, and our vision is to prepare students to learn, grow, and become empowered leaders. Judy and Alani are showing us what that looks like in action!
Keep reading. Keep growing. Keep becoming a champion! πŸ“–πŸ†

πŸš’β€οΈ A Special Visit from Our Local Firefighters! β€οΈπŸš’

Yesterday, Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Ashley’s Pre-K classes had an exciting opportunity to get an up-close look at a real firetruck! πŸš’ Our little learners explored the equipment firefighters use when responding to emergencies and learned how these important tools help save lives and keep our brave firefighters safe.

The excitement continued as the students got to hear the sirens and see the ladders, hoses, and flashing lights up close! 🚨 As if that wasn’t exciting enough, each student even received their very own firefighter hat to take home! πŸ§‘β€πŸš’β€οΈ What a memorable experience for our little ones!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our local firefighters for taking the time to visit with our students and teach them about the important work you do every day. We are so grateful for your dedication, bravery, and commitment to keeping our students, school, and community safe. Your service does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate you more than words can say! πŸ‘β€οΈπŸš’

πŸŽƒ Pumpkin Carving Fun in Mrs. Sellers’s Class! πŸŽƒ

Our students had a spooktacular time carving their very own classroom pumpkin! πŸ§‘πŸ‚

Students chose the shapes for the eyes, nose, and mouth, helping bring their pumpkin creation to life. They also took turns reaching inside to explore the seeds and gooey insides, using descriptive words like cold, slimy, and gooey to describe how it felt. What a fun way to build vocabulary through hands-on learning! πŸŽƒπŸ™Œ

After all their hard work, the students proudly named their pumpkin β€œPumpkin Pie”! πŸ₯§ Today, they added a light inside and watched their creation glow!

Mrs. Sellers, Mrs. Reynolds, Mrs. Sam, and the students enjoyed this memorable fall learning experience filled with curiosity, creativity, and plenty of pumpkin fun! 🧑

πŸπŸ’› Celebrating our youngest Stingers during Pre-K Week!

This week is all about joyful experiences that help our Pre-K students learn, connect, and make special memories with their classmates and teachers!

Monday’s breakfast brought extra smiles with Mrs. Jimmerson dressed as the Chick-fil-A cow, serving breakfast to students and teachers. It was one of the fun moments making this week special! πŸ„πŸŽ‰

Thank you to our wonderful Pre-K teachers for the care and creativity they bring to our classrooms, and to Mrs. Jimmerson for helping organize the week and working alongside our teachers to support these experiences.

We love seeing our youngest learners celebrated and excited about school! πŸ–€πŸ’›
