Across the country, drivers are being reminded of one rule that saves lives: when you see flashing lights on the shoulder — police, fire, tow, utility, or just a stranded family — slow down and move over.

The first widespread frost of the season looks likely tonight with clear skies and calm winds. After that a very stable and seasonable several days looks likely with warm afternoons and cool nights. No rain is forecast for the next seven days.

If you were waiting for a break in the heat today is your day. A strong cold front is moving through the area this morning and sharply colder air is moving through. Temperatures will be 25 to 30 degrees cooler than yesterday with a brisk northwest breeze at 15 to 25 mph. A few showers can be expected as the front moves through as well.

Frost remains expected across a good portion of the area Saturday night.

.Due to a main break that resulted in low water pressure throughout the system, the Village of Olmsted will be under a BOIL ORDER until the repairs can be completed and samples collected.
