On Saturday, September 19th the Mound Fire Department hosted a live burn training accompanied by crews from St Bonifacius Fire Department.

🖐️Live burn training events provide invaluable hands-on experience for firefighters that cannot be taught in the classroom.
🔥During these events, firefighters can practice extinguishing real fires in a controlled and safe environment.
🤔This type of training helps improve their decision-making, teamwork, and firefighting techniques.
🚒It also allows firefighters to become more familiar with their equipment and its capabilities.

Overall, live burn training events help firefighters to be better prepared to face real-life emergencies and save lives!

⚠️Live Fire Training Alert⚠️

This Saturday, September 19th MFD will be conducting a live fire training burn at a vacant home in the vicinity of Lynwood Blvd (Co Rd 15) and Westedge Blvd (Co Rd 44).

There will be smoke and flames present along with large volumes of emergency service vehicles in this area throughout the day.

Today, Shoreline Fire MN and Mound Fire Department firefighters together climbed in honor of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11. 25 years later, this day still remains etched in our hearts as we remember the immense sacrifice and bravery displayed by countless individuals.
