Public Service Announcement

The Lawrence County Sheriffs office is assisting The Bridgeport Police Department is attempting to locate Christopher R. Dining in connection with an ongoing investigation stemming from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of October 1, 2026, in Bridgeport, Illinois.

Anyone with information regarding Dining’s current whereabouts is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police Department or Lawrence County Central Dispatch.

Do not attempt to confront or apprehend Dining. If you observe him, contact law enforcement and provide his location.

In conjunction with Lawrence County authorities deputies have deemed this to be a bow Hunter.
Residents are still encouraged to keep their eyes open and be aware.

The sheriff's office is currently searching for a man with a backpack in the area of E1250LN & Highway 11, west of Allendale.
If live in the area keep your doors locked & eyes open.
Man with a backpack. Possibly the suspect from Bridgeport IL stabbing.
Deputies are on scene with a drone & K9.
If you see something please report it to 911.
