Today our on duty crew welcomed the helping hands of the next generation of firefighters from the Macomb College Public Service Institute Fire Academy to the city. Together they cleaned and restored the Macomb County Fallen Heros Memorial in preparation for a scheduled remembrance. It is our duty to never forget those who have gone before us and made the ultimate sacrifice. We would like to wish Class #88 the best of luck in the next 10 weeks of their academy, we look forward to serving with you.

On Monday, Mount Clemens Fire Department underwent annual hose testing. Every length of hose from each Engine and the Truck were systematically removed, tested, and repacked. This annual testing ensures that our hoses are ready to go and wont fail unexpectedly when we need them most. It also gives us a much needed opportunity to perform thorough maintenance and in depth cleaning of the areas usually inaccessible due to our hose loads. We continue, every day, to be committed to our mission by ensuring our equipment is always ready.
