MCSO SPECIAL UNITS RESPOND TO MISSING BOATER

St. Clair Shores, MI – On Friday, October 30, 2026, at approximately 2:23AM, authorities were notified that 46-year-old Narvell Campbell, from Belleville, had gone overboard near Miller Marina in St. Clair Shores.

The St. Clair Shores Police Department, U.S. Coast Guard and Macomb County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Marine Division responded to the scene. The U.S. Coast Guard recovered a 26-foot 1987 Sea Ray. A MCSO K9 and U.A.V. (drone) were requested to assist. The MCSO Underwater Search and Recovery Team was called out and took over the search.

At approximately 8:54AM, members of the MCSO Underwater Search and Recovery Team recovered the male from the water. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is believed that the deceased and another passenger were aboard the vessel prior to the incident. No foul play is suspected at this time.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
