Hello everyone. We are nearing that time of year when we do get a lot of donations. But we aren't there yet. We are running quite low on a few items, primarily Instant oatmeal/grits, ramen noodles, saltine crackers, sweet peas and jelly.

You can drop items off at the CRO Monday, Wednesday-Friday between 9 and noon or for the simple way, simply order from our Amazon List. They will deliver directly to my house (so they won't deliver to the CRO and sit outside until we open again) and I take them down the next day.

As always, we thank you for your support. We couldn't do what we do without you.

We met Catherine a little over a year ago when she asked if we would be willing to talk to her about the CRO. She was in the early stages of trying to set up No Child Learns Hungry day in partnership with Food Lion Feeds.

She was able to get it declared as an official day in North Carolina to be observed annually on September 15th.

As part of her initiative, she set up Amazon pages for 3 different food banks in NC. One is at her alma mater NC State University in Wake County. Another is in her home county of Wake County and the other is us in Gaston County where she is currently the reigning Miss Gaston County.

To donate peanut butter or jelly, simply click the link below, scroll down to see the 3 options and click the CRO. If they purchase gives you the option to add a message to your donation, put No Child Learns Hungry so we will know where it came from.

Once you donate, go back and click I donated! Count my jars and enter what you donated so they can track how much is being donated.

Thank you in advance for your donations.

Created in 1952 by the Ministerial Association of Mount Holly, the Community Relief Organization has been a central place for neighbors in need for over seven decades. We are now the primary provider of emergency assistance in Mount Holly. In 2023, we served over 7,000 individuals from Mount Holly, distributing over 220,000 lbs of food and $118,000 in rent and utility assistance.
