Over the past two weeks, the members of Mount Hope Fire and EMS have been proud to serve our community and visitors through several significant events that demanded exceptional teamwork, dedication, and long hours of work.
2026 National Scout Jamboree:
Our personnel provided round-the-clock fire protection during the National Scout Jamboree, ensuring the safety of thousands of Scouts, leaders, staff, and visitors from around the globe.
During the Jamboree, our fire crews:
- Responded to 32 calls for service
- Logged 44 hours of training
- Provided 6 hours of public fire education
- Completed 23 hours of event coverage
These numbers reflect the unwavering commitment of our members to maintaining the safety of the Summit Bechtel Reserve and all attendees of the Jamboree.
Punishers LEMC β Thunder in the Gorge Motorcycle Ride:
Our EMS crews were honored to provide medical coverage for this remarkable event, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants.
ACE Country Music Fest:
We also provided EMS coverage for the ACE Country Music Fest, standing by to care for concertgoers throughout the event.
These assignments meant long days, sleepless nights, and many hours away from our families. However, our members answered the call with professionalism and pride. We are deeply grateful to every firefighter, EMT, paramedic, officer, support member, and our mutual aid partners who contributed to the success of these events.
Finally, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the citizens of Mount Hope and our surrounding communities for their unwavering support. It is an honor and privilege to serve you every day.
