πŸš‘ Introducing the WV Lifeline Ambulance 2026/2027 Safety Committee! πŸš‘

At WV Lifeline Ambulance, we believe that creating a safer organization starts with listening to the people who serve within it every day .

Throughout 2026, members of our administration have participated in training and visited agencies across West Virginia to learn about how our neighboring EMS organizations are strengthening safety, improving communication, and building stronger safety cultures.

As a new initiative, we are proud to introduce our first-ever WV Lifeline Ambulance Safety Committee!

This committee is comprised of one elected representative from each department/category: Administration, Clinicians, EMVOs, and Communications, creating a diverse group of team members who will bring the perspectives, experiences, and concerns of their respective departments to the table.

The Safety Committee will play an important role in helping WV Lifeline Ambulance:
πŸ”· Review organizational safety data and identify opportunities for improvement
πŸ”· Provide employee input on safety-related policies and procedures
πŸ”· Assist in developing new safety guidelines and initiatives
πŸ”· Identify concerns and opportunities directly from our field and support teams
πŸ”· Promote communication and accountability throughout the organization
πŸ”· Help ensure that safety remains a shared responsibility across WV Lifeline Ambulance

Most importantly, these representatives were elected by the employees of WV Lifeline Ambulance!

Rather than simply appointing members, we wanted our team to have a direct voice in selecting the individuals who will represent them. Through an organization-wide election, our employees chose the representatives who will serve on this committee.

We are excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to seeing what this team can accomplish together as we continue growing our agency.

please join us in congratulating the 2026/2027 WV Lifeline Ambulance Safety Committee!

πŸ›‘ Safety. Accountability. Teamwork. Continuous Improvement.

Together, we are working to make WV Lifeline Ambulance a safer organization for our employees, our patients, and the communities we serve.

πŸš‘ Leading From the Front Line! πŸš‘

Today, our Medical Director, Dr.Shannon Altazan, DO, NRP, was on-site conducting QA reviews and office hours when Fayette County 911 requested assistance with pending traffic.

Without hesitation, Dr.Altazan, Medical Director and Tyler Kirk, CEO, marked up on Lifeline 2504 and provided primary coverage to the Plateau region! 🚨

After answering the call for service, the day continued with visits to several of our valued healthcare partners including:

πŸ₯ Fayetteville Healthcare Center Communicare
πŸ₯ CAMC Plateau Medical Center
πŸ₯ Beckley ARH
πŸ₯ Raleigh General Hospital

At WV Lifeline Ambulance, we believe strong healthcare partnerships are built by being present, listening, and working alongside the people we serve.

Keeping our Medical and Executive Leadership actively involved in on-site visits gives us the opportunity to hear real-time feedback directly from physicians, directors, nursing teams, healthcare partners, and patients. These conversations help us understand their needs, identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen communications, and continually raise the level of service we provide to our communities.

From answering the call when our communities need us to sitting down with our healthcare partners and listening to their needs - we believe leadership belongs in the field!

πŸŽ‰ 1,000 FOLLOWERS! πŸŽ‰

Today, WV Lifeline Ambulance reached an exciting milestone: 1,000 followers on Facebook! πŸ’™πŸ’š

To some, 1,000 followers may be a small number. To us, it represents 1,000 people who have visited our page, taken an interest in our organization, and chosen to follow along as we continue building something special in Southern West Virginia.

Every like, comment, share, and follow helps us spread awareness of our services, recognize the incredible work of our team, connect with the communities we serve, and share the continued growth of WV Lifeline Ambulance.

When we began this journey, our goal was about much more than operating ambulances. We wanted to build an organization focused on accessibility, community, dependable service, and moving EMS forward. Every new partnership, every patient served, every community event, and every milestone like this reminds us just how far that vision continues to reach.

So, to all 1,000 of you - THANK YOU! Whether you've been following us from the beginning or just recently joined us, we appreciate you being part of our journey.

There is still so much ahead, and we can't wait to continue sharing it with you.

πŸ“šπŸš‘ Learning | Leading | Improving πŸš‘πŸ“š

Yesterday, members of the WV Lifeline Ambulance Administration Team traveled to Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV, for the NAEMSP West Virginia Conference!

Our Chief Executive Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Administrative Officer spent the day alongside EMS professionals from across the region, learning and discussing topics that directly impact the future of emergency medical services.

Throughout the conference, sessions explored Legal Quagmires in EMS, Research, Education & Onboarding, and Quality Assurance, with presentations and discussions led by field professionals including: Dr. Lisa Hrutkay, Dr. Michael Shukis, and Dr. Collin Smith.

For us, attending conferences like this is about more than simply taking notes; it's about bringing new ideas home!

We're excited to take what we learned, evaluate how it can strengthen our own processes and practices, and continue identifying opportunities to improve the way we support our patients, employees, and healthcare partners.

Continuous improvement requires continuous learning, and we're proud to invest the time in keeping WV Lifeline Ambulance moving forward! πŸ’™πŸ’š

πŸŒ§πŸš‘ When the weather changes, the need for critical care doesn't stop. 🚁

You've probably seen the familiar blue and gold HealthNet helicopters at hospitals across our region - but have you ever thought about what happens when a patient needs critical care transport and the weather simply isn't cooperating?

That's where strong partnerships make a difference...

WV Lifeline Ambulance proudly partners with HealthNet Aeromedical Services to help keep their critical care team, and the patients who depend on them, moving when conditions prevent air transport.

Last night, our team had another opportunity to activate that partnership. One of our crews assisted HealthNet 5 with the ground transport of a critical care patient to Charleston, WV, where the patient required an urgently needed higher level of care.

When flying isn't an option, the mission doesn't stop. By combining HealthNet's critical care expertise with WV Lifeline Ambulance's ground transportation capabilities, we can help ensure that geography and changing weather conditions don't unnecessarily interrupt access to advanced care.

It's another way we're Mobilizing Accessibility and working alongside our healthcare partners to keep patients moving when care is needed most.

πŸ’™πŸ’š Thank you to the team at HealthNet 5 for trusting WV Lifeline Ambulance to keep your crew and patients moving on the ground. We're grateful for the collaboration and for another option we can collectively provide to hospitals, healthcare partners, and communities throughout our region.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ WE WILL NEVER FORGET | September 11, 2001 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced a tragedy that forever changed the course of American history.

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost. Among them were firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, military personnel, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable circumstances.

Today, we remember every life lost, every family forever changed, and every first responder who ran toward danger while others sought safety. The impact of September 11, 2001 did not end that day. Twenty-five years later, its effects are still felt by survivors, families, first responders, communities, and our nation as a whole.

For those of us in emergency services, September 11 carries a particularly powerful reminder of what it means to serve. The courage, sacrifice, unity, and selflessness demonstrated that day remain examples we should never allow to fade from memory.

πŸš‘πŸš’πŸš“πŸš¨ Tonight, our community will remember together.

WV Lifeline Ambulance is honored to participate in tonight's 9/11 Parade of Lights, beginning at Independence High School and continuing to the Linda K. Epling Stadium, with the procession beginning at dusk.

We invite our community to join Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and neighbors from across our region as we illuminate the evening in solemn remembrance of those who lost their lives and in honor of those who answered the call to serve.

For 25 years, we have promised:

We will remember.
We will honor.
We will never forget. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 25 Years - We Will Never Forget πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, WV Lifeline Ambulance is preparing to join our fellow first responders and community members for the annual 9/11 Memorial Parade of Lights.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, at dusk, our ambulances will join a silent procession beginning at Independence High School and continuing to the Linda K. Epling Stadium.

There will be no celebration in this parade. No sirens will break the silence.

Instead, the night will be illuminated by the emergency lights of Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Services - shining together in solemn remembrance of the heroes and innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and in honor of those who gave all.

Nearly 3,000 lives were lost that day. Countless first responders, survivors, families, and communities were forever changed. Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember their names, their sacrifices, their courage, and the extraordinary unity that followed one of our nation's darkest days.

πŸš’πŸš‘πŸš“ We invite our community to join us for this humbling tradition as we stand together - 25 years later - and remember.

πŸ“… Friday, September 11, 2026
πŸŒ™ Beginning at dusk

May every light shining along the route serve as a reminder:

We remember the lives lost.
We honor the heroes.
We will never forget. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
