Mt. Lebanon Police Department Welcome to the official FB page of the Mt Lebanon Police Dept. Check back often for safety updates. Always call 9-1-1 to have an officer respond.

Please do not use this page to report crimes or safety hazards. We hope this page will encourage you to work with our agency and the entire community to keep Mt. Lebanon a safe and desirable place to live. We appreciate your comments and inquiries, but please keep them appropriate and inoffensive. For issues that require immediate police notification or involvement – always call 9-1-1. Remember…We would rather be called to investigate without delay, then find out after the fact that a crime has already occurred. A posting on this page constitutes acceptance of the Mt. Lebanon Police Department Facebook Terms. See the “Terms of Use” tab.

Are you the family member of someone with mental illness and looking for support? In family support groups, members share their personal experiences (the good and the bad), coping strategies, advice on navigating the mental health system and more. Most importantly, group participants receive support and validation from one another.

Mt. Lebanon Social Services is looking for interested participants and group facilitators. The groups are peer-led, not led by a therapist or mental health professional, so anyone can be trained to lead.

If you're interested in the group or would like more information, please contact Social Services Coordinator Jaqui Stilson at [email protected].

Come "Run for a Reason" at our Hometown Torch Run for Special Olympics Pennsylvania this Friday, September 18 at 9:00am!

There is still time to register if you’d like to participate. We already have more than 85 runners signed up, and we’re on track to set a new attendance record for this event!

FAQ

Is this a race?

No. This is a team run completed at a comfortable 10–15 minute‑per‑mile pace. If you need a break at any point, trail vehicles will be available. You can also wait at the starting point and rejoin the team as the run returns.

What is the distance?

The route is just under 2 miles. It is mostly flat with gradual inclines and declines, with only one significant hill—and that section is downhill.

Will the road be closed to traffic?

No. The route will be escorted and controlled by police vehicles and motorcycles. Traffic will move slowly behind the runners, while oncoming traffic will pass carefully in the opposite direction. Side streets will be temporarily blocked as the group passes.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at the starting location: Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church (975 Washington Road). The run finishes at Mt. Lebanon High School, which is a short walk back to the church.

I can’t run—how else can I participate?

You can purchase a t‑shirt for $20 by visiting the event website and clicking on the “Register” tab. You may also donate to sponsor a student runner. All proceeds support Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

Markham Elementary students thanked firefighters, police officers and EMS during a 9/11 remembrance ceremony today, marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

Today we honor the lives lost and the courage of first responders.

Mt. Lebanon reflects on the past and how people remember 9/11 today. Read more in a new post, linked below.

We are just about 2 weeks away from the first ever Home Town Torch Run in Lebo. The sign ups are rolling in and we'd like to keep that momentum going up to run day.

According to our contacts with Special Olympics Pennsylvania, the most participants in one of these events before was around 70 runners. We think we can shatter that number.

Please sign up at the link below. Donations are also accepted that will cover the registration cost for any student participating in the raise. All donations, including registrations, will benefit Special Olympics.

We want to stress that this will be a slow paced (10-15 minutes per mile) team run through our business district and ending at Mt. Lebanon High School. The run will start at the Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, where ample parking is available.

Currently, West Allegheny has 20 members on their team coming to participate. We'd love to be able to top that number with Mt. Lebanon students/parents/community members.

Huge thank you to our two big donors so far, who have given $2500 to support Special Olympics Pennsylvania - Three Rivers Region.

A frozen computer screen and virus warning. A phone call from the IRS about unpaid taxes.

Scams may change, but the goal doesn't: to separate victims from their hard-earned money.

“We have made this our number one priority,” Mt. Lebanon Police Department Chief Jason Haberman said. “Literally a generation of wealth is being taken right before our eyes.”
