Our team visited East Copper Montessori, where we spoke with students about our drinking water and wastewater treatment processes.

Then we taught them the importance of water conservation by helping them understand their blue footprint, which is the amount of water a person uses each day.

Happy Native Plant Week!

Come celebrate with us with a tour of MPW’s wastewater plant, laboratory, and native plant gardens to learn how it’s all connected! 🌸🌺🌷💐

Join us for our Waterworks and Wildflowers Plant Tour at our Henry Clay Duffie Water Resource Facility (HCDWRF). Get a behind-the-scenes look at the wastewater treatment process and our laboratory as well as our native plant gardens onsite.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the plant and gardens, learn how Mount Pleasant Waterworks protects public health and the local environment, and connect with fellow community members.

We’ll end with a garden party and refreshments!

Celebrate Native Plant Week with Mount Pleasant Waterworks at our event this Saturday!

Help us plant a new pollinator garden at our water treatment plant off Mathis Ferry Road. You’ll work with our staff to install a native garden that provides habitat for butterflies, birds and bees and beautifies the Mount Pleasant community.

The event is free, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Date and Time: Saturday, October 17th from 1PM - 3PM

Activities
• Grab refreshments and meet other volunteers.
• Plant, mulch, and water the pollinator garden.
• Visit often and watch it grow over time.

What To Bring
• Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Gloves and a water bottle
• Hand trowels (we will have some available to share)

Monday' s Tap Water and Watercolors event was a hit! Neighbors of all ages came out to learn how MPW treats your drinking water, then picked up a paintbrush and got creative.
