Caregiving is hard. And it's really hard on the caregivers. It is well known that caregivers often neglect themselves and their own health while focusing so much on their loved one. This was highlighted by the recent passing of Dolly Parton, who focused so hard on her husband's illness that she didn't care for herself.

Alice's Clubhouse allows those who are caring for those with a form of dementia or other memory loss to be able to take the time and energy to do what they need to do for themselves, all while knowing their loved one is engaged, stimulated, well cared for and having a great time. We can help... both of you.

Like many caregivers, Dolly Parton didn’t take care of her own health while caring for her ailing husband. That’s not unusual, even among people with resources.
