Important information for vote-by-mail voters 🚨
Mail postmark rules have changed. Ballots are now postmarked when processed, not when you drop them in the mailbox—this can cause 1–2 day delays.
If you’re returning your ballot close to Election Day:
• Request a manual postmark at the post office
• Use a secure drop box
• Deliver directly to your election office
Don’t risk a late postmark. Make sure your vote counts. 🗳️

The Jefferson County Democratic Central Committee will meet Tuesday, October 6th at the Rolland Lewis Building at Veterans Park (800 S. 27th Street, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864). Meeting start time is 7 PM. Please use South entrance (kitchen).

🖥️ October 18, 2026: Last day for online voter registration. Grace period registration is still available in person at election authority and early voting.

Trump White House misspells “United” on the official “super intelligence” document with AI executives.

Instead of “President of the United States,” it reads: “President of the Unites States.”

Nothing says “super intelligence” quite like misspelling the name of the country.
