Spero Family Services Providing Hope, Help, and Healing throughout Southern Illinois We have 10 different services including youth homes in Mt.

Spero Family Services is a multi-faceted human services organization that serves local children, youth and families in need, currently in 5 counties, and we are growing! Vernon for kids ages 12-21, a Counseling & Wellness Center, Bright Start Childcare in Mt. Vernon, Parents as teachers, Mental Health Juvenile Justice (MHJJ), a Foster Care program, and more! Although Spero Family Services is a faith-based agency, programs are open and available to anyone fitting the service criteria without discrimination and regardless of faith or denominational background.

From CFO to CEO, Joe Bernard has spent 25 years helping shape Spero Family Services and its mission. Since becoming CEO in 2022, he has continued to guide the agency through change, expand services, and find new ways to reach people and families in need across our communities.

🎉 Celebrating 25 Years with Spero Family Services!

For 25 years, Jaime has been passionate about advocating for families during pregnancy and early childhood. When she began, the Parents as Teachers program was known as Best Beginnings, supporting pregnant and teen parents through education and guidance.

Over the years, Jaime has helped expand the program to serve families with children from birth to age five. Today, services include Parents as Teachers, Doula Services, and Moving Beyond Depression, helping families support their children’s healthy development and prepare for school success.

We are grateful for Jaime’s 25 years of dedication to supporting families and making a difference in our communities.

🎄✨ Christmas Trees, Wreaths, Dueling Pianos & Holiday Cheer! 🎹

It’s almost time for one of Mount Vernon’s favorite holiday traditions! 🎄 Spero Family Services and Cedarhurst Center for the Arts are teaming up again for the 19th Annual Festival of Trees, a festive celebration that brings our community together for a meaningful cause. Every ticket, bid, and donation helps support the work of both organizations and the people we serve. ❤️

🎹 FESTIVAL OF TREES GALA
📅 Friday, November 20
📍 Cedarhurst Center for the Arts | Mount Vernon

Enjoy a delicious dinner, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, and baskets, a live auction, and an unforgettable evening of Dueling Pianos entertainment by 88Keyz! Get ready for high-energy music, sing-along favorites, and plenty of holiday fun.

🥂 Make It a VIP Evening!
VIP guests enjoy early entry at 5:30 PM, a ch*****ne welcome, passed hors d’oeuvres, and the first opportunity to bid on select trees and wreaths before general admission begins.

🎟️ Gala tickets: $150 per person | VIP upgrade: an additional $50
🕕 Cocktail hour, tree viewing, and bidding begin at 6 PM.
