Congratulations to Emily Beane, Teacher of the Year, and Jordan Brooks, Support Person of the Year!

Emily’s colleagues describe her as a master of her craft—thoughtful, knowledgeable, collaborative, and deeply committed to her students and families. As one colleague shared, “I feel like a better teacher when I am around her.”

Jordan is known as “truly unflappable” and “the steady mast in a storm.” His patience, kindness, and calming presence make a lasting impact on students and staff alike.

We are so grateful for the care, excellence, and heart Emily and Jordan bring to MBE each day. We are better because of them both. Congratulations to two very deserving members of MBE!

Mrs. Byram’s 5th grade math classes competed in the Decimal Olympics!

Students raced against the clock in a variety of Olympic events, recorded their times as decimals, and then used their results to practice important decimal skills.

The events included the Shoe-Tying Relay, Strength War, Categories, Math Maniacs, and Balance Beam.

It was a fun and engaging way for students to put their decimal skills into action while incorporating a little friendly competition!

Our Lancers had a great time at Special Olympics Bowling! We are so proud of them all!

26 letters, countless memories, and one very special Alphabet Quest!

Kindergarten wrapped up their ABC journey with an ABC Fashion Show, celebrating all the fun and learning from the past several weeks. Throughout the Alphabet Quest, students explored each letter through books, science, crafts, handwriting, math, and hands-on activities.

What a fun way to celebrate all they’ve learned. The Quest is complete!

Pre-K had a special week celebrating all things pets! Students enjoyed hands-on learning activities and got to meet some special visitors: Skipper the bearded dragon, Bubbles the fish, Earl the corn snake, and Lulu the dog. What a fun week of learning and animal friends!
