Voters, we heard you loud and clear! You want to understand what creating a new ambulance district could mean for your bottom line, so we’ve calculated the numbers and included them in the latest version of our voter’s guide.
Today, Elmore County property owners pay 0.016% or $16 for every $100,000 of assessed value for emergency medical services.
While the new Ambulance District Board would be responsible for setting the levy rate, state law caps it at 0.04% or $40 per $100,000 of assessed value.
That means if you own a $400,000 home, the most you’d pay per year for emergency medical services is $160.
