This August concluded a four year NSF funded program led by University of Colorado Build a Better Book , providing unique opportunities for teens to learn about accessible design principles and empathy in engineering by developing universally designed resources with the low vision and blind community.
Thank you to the many people and organizations who dedicated time and expertise to make this program successful!
Thank you to Richard, Coco, and Jenny for sharing your love of engineering and amazing teaching.
Thank you Lauren Marron and ⠠⠎⠞⠲⠀⠠⠚⠕⠎⠑⠏⠓⠄⠎⠀⠠⠎⠉⠓⠕⠕⠇⠀⠋⠕⠗⠀⠞⠓⠑⠀⠠⠃⠇⠊⠝⠙ for their belief in our Mountain Lakes Public Library universal design potential.
Thank you Stacey Forsyth and J.Sickler Consulting for your long term support.
Most importantly, thank you to all of our teen interns, who gave 110% effort to create engaging and accessible resources. Many interns continued their projects well after their internship ended; to iterate and improve the final product. Thank You!!
