Deputy Secretary Hicks visit 129th

Yesterday, after meeting with software industry leaders, researches and academia throughout Mountain View, California, Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen H. Hicks took time to visit and coin outstanding 129th Airmen for their exceptional performance and contributions to the unit.

We are proud to announce that another veteran has come back into the service 🇺🇸 Senior Airman Eric Bauer previously served in REGAF and the AF Reserves; he had a total of 11 years break in service. SrA Bauer has chosen the Air Force Specialty Code he once had as a Reservist - 2A552, HH-60 Crew Chief. Congratulations SrA Bauer on becoming a part of the 129th Rescue Wing California Air National Guard!

Congratulations Aidan Maddox for enlisting into the 129th Rescue Wing! Aidan is in his senior year of high school at De Anza High School, Richmond where he had the honor of being sworn in by his JROTC Commander in front of his teachers and peers! Aidan received his career of choice as a C-130 Crew Chief! This will help his achieve his long term goals of becoming a pilot! Additionally, thanks to his time in the JROTC he will be automatically promoted to Airman First Class upon graduation of High School!

Johnmar and Ralph are both childhood friends of one of our own airmen - SrA Miguel Bueñaflor, and they have both decided to join him in serving our wonderful state and country. 🇺🇸 ✈️

Ralph has enlisted as a Maintenance Management Production Specialist, and he will begin his career as an E-2 (Airman). Johnmar has enlisted as an Integrated Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist and will begin his Air Force career at the rank of E-3 (Airman First Class).

Once again, congratulations to you both! The 129th Rescue Wing is happy to welcome you into our Maintenance Group 🎉
