We are incredibly proud to share our firefighters were involved in a successful ice rescue this week.

Their quick actions, teamwork, and training made all the difference in bringing a victim to safety. Incidents like this highlight the dedication and professionalism our crews bring to every call — no matter the conditions.

Please join us in recognizing their outstanding work and commitment to serving our community. Stay safe, and remember — no ice is ever 100% safe.

Firefighters Mike Ludwig and Scot Laab both were not working for the department when they heard the call for a water rescue. Ludwig was at home and Laab was at another department. Read more at the link in the comments.

Local 4585 was excited to present Muscular Dystrophy Association Muscular Dystrophy Association - Southern Wisconsin with a check for more than $6,400. More importantly we had the honor to meet an absolutely amazing young woman named Hannah. Hannah is a truly inspiring woman with a truly inspiring story! Despite her debilitating condition, she always has a smile on her face. She is even a college graduate!!! We are honored to colllect this money her and those like her!
As Hannah says, it is no longer “if” she can do things, but instead it is how she will do things! Thanks for being a true inspiration!
