READI 2.0 is at work again, this time in Hagerstown!

We’re beyond excited (and honestly still a little in awe) to share that Hagerstown Brewing Co has been awarded the full $200,000 READI Downtown Revitalization Grant!
This isn’t just a number to us — it’s a real vote of confidence in what we’re building here in downtown Hagerstown. The grant will go directly toward the renovation and build-out of our space at 110 E. Main, helping turn it into a welcoming taproom and kitchen for our neighbors, friends, and visitors.
We know how fortunate we are to receive this support, and we’re not taking it lightly. We’re moving carefully and deliberately so every dollar is used the right way — preserving the character of this building, supporting local trades and materials where we can, and creating something that adds to the heart of our town for years to come.
Thank you to the Wayne County EDC, the READI program, and everyone who has encouraged us along the way. We’re grateful, humbled, and ready to keep putting in the work.
Downtown Hagerstown has so much potential, and we’re proud to be part of bringing more life to it. More updates soon as the project keeps moving forward. 💜💛🍻

Ryan Homes recently celebrated the ribbon cutting and open house for the first completed home at Brookfield Farms, a READI 2.0-supported housing development in Henry County.

With 19 homes already sold and room for 83 homes in the neighborhood, Brookfield Farms is creating new opportunities for families and individuals to put down roots in East Central Indiana.

Forge ECI President & CEO Caitlin Hancock and our team were excited to join local leaders and development partners to celebrate this milestone. It’s another example of how regional investment is helping our communities grow, attract talent, and expand housing options.

Forge ECI’s Caitlin Hancock joined Gas City Mayor Bill Rock Jr., Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith and other community leaders to sign a steel beam at the future Gas City YMCA, marking another exciting milestone for this READI 2.0-supported project.

“We spend a great deal of time on the administrative side of the program so it's always genuinely rewarding to be able to go into our communities and celebrate progress alongside them — to see a project like this take shape, knowing it will give families across Grant County and East Central Indiana better access to health and recreation,” Caitlin said.

Supported by $1.263 million in READI 2.0 funding, the new YMCA will bring expanded opportunities for health, wellness, recreation and community connection to Grant County.

The signatures may eventually be hidden inside the completed building, but the impact of this investment will be visible for years to come.
