Our Tuesdays at Two program this week was a field trip to the Village of Mundelein Public Works facility. We learned so much and have a new appreciation for what it takes to keep a community like Mundelein thriving. There are hundreds of miles of roads, parkways, plumbing, and much more that the Village maintains. We learned about our water towers and the monitoring that goes into our drinking water in Mundelein, as well as what is done with our wastewater. Village mechanics maintain vehicles as large as snowplows and firetrucks all the way down to golf carts. These are truly unsung heroes of our community. Thank you Public Works!
