A little piece of Mundelein history! ❤️
Mundelein’s first motorized fire engine, a 1925 Stoughton known as “Old Number One,” was gifted to the Village by Cardinal George Mundelein. After decades away, the engine was recovered, restored, and formally rededicated on October 17, 2009, during Mundelein’s Centennial celebration.

Tonight, we celebrated FF/PM Jacob Smith for successfully completing his probationary period. FF/PM Smith’s father, Chief Chuck Smith of the Countryside Fire Protection District, had the honor of pinning FF Smith’s badge after the completion of his oath.
