Thank y’all for everything you did Friday night. You put a lot of work into this, brought a great group of people out, and raised over $800 for Nick’s scholarship. I really appreciate you continuing to be part of this event.
And thanks for the boards and bags. We’ll get some practice in before we take on the Jersey people next year!!

We spent some time this week working on emergency vehicle driver training with instructors from TFACA.

The training started in the classroom covering emergency vehicle operations and then moved to the driving simulator, where everyone got some hands-on time working through different scenarios.

We also had firefighters from Atoka Fire, Tipton County Fire, and Brighton Fire join us for the training.

Thanks to the TFACA instructors for coming to Munford and putting on the class, and to our neighboring departments for coming over and training with us.

25 years.

It’s hard to believe a quarter of a century has passed since September 11, 2001.

For those of us in the fire service, this day will always mean something different. We remember the 343 firefighters who went to work that morning and never came home, along with all those who lost their lives that day.

As the years pass and a new generation enters the fire service, it becomes our responsibility to keep their memory alive and make sure their sacrifice is never forgotten.

25 years later, we still remember.

We will never forget.
