Busy day for our volunteers. Started the morning off with getting the vehicles cleaned for the Halloween parade and while in the process of that our volunteers responded to a residential lock out. Crews returned and finished up the vehicles. While finishing up the final touches we were alerted for a vehicle rollover accident with entrapment in the 4400 BLK Main Str. 201 crew worked along side 203 and did a side removal to gain access and egress for the patient. Patient was quickly extricated and transported to the hospital. 200, 201, and 203 then worked to get the roadway cleared up for the Halloween parade. Our crews were still able to make it and not have the parade delayed. Our volunteers are now getting ready for Halloween patrol. Interested in joining stop down any Wednesday evening after 6:30 or message us for details. No experience needed and all training is provided.

Over the last several weeks or volunteers reviewed rope rescue equipment and operations with Munhall V.F.C. #4, Munhall Vol. Fire Co. #1, and Munhall VFC #5. Crews reviewed equipment, rigging points on apparatus, harnesses, patient packaging and lowering and hauling systems. Was a great couple weeks of training and we look forward to next time.
